Casual is first to 8 on 14-player servers. Unranked is first to 13 with friendly fire. Deathmatch pays only the top three.

Casual

Casual is the default public defusal mode and ends at 8 round wins. The Roblox experience lists a server size of 14. Some mode tables also mention Casual servers up to 20, which does not match that listing, so plan around 14 until the in-game browser shows otherwise.

Use Casual to learn a buy and one map. Credits require 300 damage and several rounds on the same team.

Unranked Competitive

Unranked is 5v5, 10 players, first to 13. Teams swap after 12 rounds and round cash resets. A 12-12 score goes to overtime. A further overtime is documented as another side swap with $10,000 starting cash. There is no draw.

You do not spawn with armor or a kit. Teammate collision is on, so boosts work. Friendly fire from bullets and grenades is on. Stabbing teammates was removed from this mode. Shooting teammates at the start of the round is punished.

Documented kick rule: 300 teammate damage or 3 team kills in one match kicks you and locks Unranked. The published lockout steps are 30 minutes, 1 hour, 6 hours, 12 hours, 24 hours, 3 days, then 7 days. The damage counter resets each match. The lockout step does not.

Dead players use a death chat that the living team can read. Spectating is first person on living teammates only. You cannot see the other team's cash.

Map pool: Mirage, Nuke, Dust II, Vertigo, Seaside II, Train, Cache, Overpass, and Inferno.

Deathmatch and event modes

Deathmatch is free-for-all aim practice. Credit payouts are 10, 5, and 5 for the top three when at least five players finish the timer. Poolside is a Deathmatch map and is not a bomb map.

Flying Scoutsman is a low-gravity scout-and-knife mode associated with Dizzy and pays a documented 5 Credits for a win when two players are present. Juggernaut returned as a Halloween event mode, one powered player against survivors. It is not in every public queue.

Hostage maps such as Agency and Office are not part of standard public play.

Private servers and outside ladders

A private server is listed at 20 Robux and opens a host VIP menu for maps and mode settings. That price is a single public figure and can change in the Roblox purchase prompt. VIP servers do not pay match Credits or advance normal contracts.

There is no native ranked ladder in the public client. Groups such as Counter Blox Ranked Matchmaking run queues and RPL-style tiers outside the Roblox browser. Update 1.6 has been described as adding built-in matchmaking later. Join those queues from the group the organizers actually run, not from a random invite pasted under a video.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Counter Blox?

Counter Blox is a Roblox tactical shooter by Headwind, formerly ROLVe. Two teams of Terrorists and Counter-Terrorists play bomb rounds on shared maps. You earn round cash for guns and grenades, and separate Credits for cosmetic cases.

Does the game have its own ranked ladder?

Public matches include Casual, Unranked Competitive, and Deathmatch. A skill ladder such as CB:RM is organized outside the public Roblox queue. Update 1.6 has been described as planning built-in matchmaking, and that mode is not a live ladder.

Why can a new account not redeem a code?

Code redemption stays locked until the account has at least 24 hours of playtime in public modes. Typing the code in match chat does not redeem it. The box is on the Home menu.

Will skins move to Counter Blox 2?

Headwind developers have said existing inventories, skins, and pins are planned to carry into Counter Blox 2. That sequel is not the current place. Keep playing and trading on place 301549746 until a transfer is actually live.
